Sydney-based artist Georgia Mooney has dropped a new single in the form of ‘Soothe You’. She has crafted a beautiful sonic landscape with this track, with tender solo piano accompanying her deeply melodic voice at first, before dramatic, soaring strings add a heart-wrenching layer of beauty to proceedings. “Sometimes I felt like society had received an almighty slap in the face for getting so complacent,” she says. “Like all of us, I kept thinking of how desperately I wanted to protect the people I love. With music, I only ever want to make people feel good, feel connected and feel transported.” ‘Soothe You’ is the final track on Mooney’s forthcoming debut album, Full Of Moon, which drops on August 25th, 2023. -Dan Peeke.
